Why Tune in to Your Body for Natural Anti-Aging and Wellness?

These are all questions to consider when tuning in to your body and its signals. It's true: Your body comes equipped with an ultra-sensitive radar that gives you signals regularly. When used to its full potential, your body can always be there to help you navigate your way through the delicate passageway of life. In his book, 10 Secrets to Success and Inner Peace, Dr. Wayne Dyer marks being in touch with the silence as one of his 10 formulas for success. I happen to agree with him. Getting quiet is one of the best ways you can use to tune in to your body's infinite wisdom. Too, you can create your "quiet time" using myriad sources, be it meditation exercises, walking exercises, or breathing exercises or only taking time to stop what you are doing and be quiet for 10-20 minutes. Close your eyes and relax, let the heart rate slow, and the body become more at ease. This relaxation will allow you to tune in to your body and listen to its messages to you.
Find A Peaceful Place.
I've written at length about how getting close to nature creates a means to wellness; this is equally true when tuning in to your body's messages. Finding a peaceful place works hand in hand with the ideas of finding time for silence. Seek a place that makes you feel calm and serene.
For me, I usually like to find places that are near water. Water is soothing and calming. It has a serene effect on my soul and helps me to tune in to the voices that are my inner wisdom. My mom, on the other hand, finds a trip to McDonald's with a notebook and a warm cup of Mikey D's coffee just the ticket to getting her creative mind moving and her spiritual radar tuned in. Your options are vast as your imagination. Find a place that you can journey to the outside or inside your own home—a destination that can instantly put you in a creative and "tuning-in" mood.
Learn From Your Experience.
When using the tools above to draw yourself closer to your intuition, make every effort to begin becoming aware of the events and occurrences in your life. These events are a result of a divine means to show you toward your highest choice. Many of the spiritual seekers I read about say that we should all be able to tune in and receive divine guidance immediately. Sometimes, however, I am unclear with the messages I receive, be it my decision-making process or the answers on my radar.
When I'm feeling confused about the messages I'm receiving, I then draw from my experience. Here I ask myself: Have I been in this situation before? What was the outcome? Would I choose to react in the same way again or choose another avenue of approaching the situation?
Tune in to Your Body, In Conclusion.
Why should it be in your best interest to tune in to your body? Tuning in to your body is all about learning how to navigate your life best and help it run more smoothly; it can also keep you youthful and well in health. In the preface of Louise L. Hay's book Inner Wisdom, she states that she feels her life is about understanding her life, her self, and her ways of making her life more fluid and peaceful. In my mind, she has the right idea, for this tuning in is indeed the quest of a lifetime for each of us. Give these ideas a try for an anti-aging and wellness boost. You may find that there's no better way to live!
