If you are thinking ahead to New Year’s weight loss plans, I want to encourage you to do so. In fact, this article is short but devoted entirely to the fact. Yes, I know you love chocolate. I know you love to party with your friends. If there’s one question I’m asked the most it is this: “Laura, how do I lose weight (get healthy/detox) and STILL enjoy my life?”
My friend, if I have learned anything from my journey thus far it’s this: your health is your greatest asset. There are no riches if you are not well, there are no bright tomorrows if your body is riddled with illness. Yet, you can change your body chemistry regardless of age and affliction. How do I know this? I have done so myself (more on that in later posts). And if you need to lose weight, doing so will go a long way in helping this outcome.
As we look forward to the holidays and then beyond to New Year’s weight loss plans, and health resolutions – please do me this favor: have a look at this video. It was sent to me by my good friend athletic trainer, Kim Bailey. It's fabulous! Think about each idea as you watch and aim to remember this information during this holiday season.
Next, go forward and enjoy your holiday in moderation. Drink responsibly. Eat your vegetables then have the coveted cookie or pastry. In an idle moment or two, think about where you can find one half hour in your day to take a walk. And, if you feel inspired, take a walk. That’s it, just one half hour.
After the holiday we’ll get serious about your weight loss plans, your health plans, your nutrition. Today, enjoy your family. Call or hug someone you haven’t it a while. Tell those closest to you, you love them. Bring the joy and true meaning back to what has become the ultimate media sensation. From my home to yours: happiest of holidays. Stop back soon! Help me share the word of wellness in a healthy, new 2012…
Blessings For A Healthy Holiday,
*Laura*
